Title: Proclamation: Called to Declare, Compelled to Share
Presenter: Pr Kwadwo Kwarteng-Ampofo
Department: Personal Ministries
Times: Thu/Fri 11:45-12:45
Location: Gym
Workshop Group: 1
Description:
The workshop “Proclamation: Called to Declare, Compelled to Share” emphasises evangelism’s importance. It highlights the biblical foundation for proclamation, citing Jesus’ command to preach the gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15). The Adventist church’s mission is rooted in God’s end-time plan, emphasising the three angels’ messages (Revelation 14:6-12). Practical steps for equipping believers include training workshops, visitation teams, and literature evangelism. Overcoming barriers like fear and shyness requires prayer, role-playing, and trusting in God’s power. The document concludes with a call to action, encouraging believers to commit to sharing their faith and making a difference in their communities. By relying on the Holy Spirit’s power, believers can be empowered for witness. The goal is to spread the gospel, make disciples, and prepare people for Christ’s return. Participants are urged to take tangible steps in faith, trusting in God’s guidance and power.

Title: Adventist Health Message and Modern Application
Presenter: Edith Samambwa
Department: Health Ministries
Times: Thu/Fri 11:45-12:45
Location: Newbold Church
Workshop Group: 1
Description:
The Adventist health message, rooted in the holistic view of mind, body, and spirit, has long emphasised principles such as plant-based nutrition, regular exercise, temperance, rest, and trust in God. Originating in the 19th century through the inspired counsel of pioneers like Ellen G. White, this message was groundbreaking in its time—and remains remarkably relevant in addressing the health crises of the 21st century. Today’s society faces an array of health challenges:
- Chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
- Mental health crises, including anxiety, depression, and burnout.
- Lifestyle diseases fuelled by poor diet, sedentary behaviour, and stress.
- Environmental toxins and digital overload.
In a world searching for sustainable, holistic answers to its health problems, the Adventist health message is not outdated—it’s prophetic.
Scientific research increasingly affirms the health benefits of the lifestyle Adventists have championed for over a century. Rediscovering these principles isn’t merely about personal wellness; it’s about mission, witness, and hope. The call is clear: to live and share a message that can restore health and point others to the ultimate source of healing—Jesus Christ.

Title: Raising a Mission-Driven Generation
Presenter: Dr Rio Espulgar
Department: Children’s Ministries
Times: Fri 14:15-15:15 & 15:30-16:30
Location: Smith Centre
Workshop Group: 3
Description:
In a rapidly changing world filled with distractions and competing values, raising children with a clear sense of purpose and mission has never been more critical. Raising a Mission-Driven Generation explores the biblical mandate, Spirit of Prophecy guidance, and practical strategies for nurturing children to live as active participants in God’s mission. The session emphasises that children are not merely the future of the church—they are vital members of the church today. Jesus valued children and entrusted them with the capacity to reflect His love and carry out His work. Ellen G. White affirms this calling: “Children are to be trained to become missionaries; they must be helped to understand distinctly what they must do to be saved.” (Counsels to Parents, Teachers and Students 168.2). We’ll reflect on why involving children in mission is both biblical and developmentally essential. We’ll look at current research on spiritual retention and engagement, and we’ll consider practical ways—within our Adventist homes and churches—to nurture children as active disciples of Christ. The goal is simple, yet life-changing: to raise a generation that doesn’t just know about mission—but lives it.
